USAGE:
(1) Patent WO9915603 reports that a mixture of catechol derivatives and aromatic ethers can be used as a polymerization inhibitor for vinyl monomers.
(2) The journal Biochemical Pharmacology reports that 3,5-DTBC is used as an activator of the ryanodine receptor Ca2+release channel in mouse skeletal muscle. The ryanodine receptor is a Ca2+regulated Ca2+release channel in the sarcoplasmic reticulum of cardiomyocytes, playing an important role in the excitation contraction coupling of myocardial fibers.
