How to Select a Bisphenol S Grade

Choosing a grade should be based on the production process and finished-product requirements rather than purity alone.

Purity and Isomer Control

Processes involving polymerization or sensitive chemical reactions may require tighter control of both 4,4'-BPS content and the 2,4'-isomer.

The 99.8% and 99.9% grades are suitable for customers requiring low isomer content and consistent raw-material quality. Lower-purity grades may be considered when the downstream process has broader acceptance limits.

Moisture

Moisture can affect weighing accuracy, storage condition and reaction control. Grades with a maximum moisture content of 0.1% are more appropriate for moisture-sensitive production processes.

Color
