APPLICATION

Food industry: Potassium ferrocyanide is widely used as a food additive, especially as a preservative. It can form insoluble precipitates with some metal ions (such as iron ions), preventing the entry of oxygen and moisture, thereby preventing food spoilage and oxidation.

Analytical Chemistry: Potassium ferrocyanide is commonly used in analytical chemistry as a coordination reagent. It can form colored complexes with some metal ions, and this color can be used for quantitative analysis and detection of the presence of metal ions.

Photography process: In traditional blue printing photography, potassium ferrocyanide is used as a part of the photosensitive agent. Along with other compounds, it can form a pattern that can be exposed to sunlight and washed away in subsequent processing.

Metal processing: Potassium ferrocyanide is sometimes used as a polishing agent or component of a polishing agent on metal surfaces.

Storage conditions: Store potassium ferrocyanide in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and high temperatures. Avoid storing in damp environments to prevent moisture absorption.

Separate storage: Avoid mixing potassium ferrocyanide with other chemicals, especially substances that may react with acids, oxidants, etc.
